Michigan Central Poster Vault
As part of Ford’s $1 billion restoration of Michigan Central, a series of permanent, highly curated exhibits were created to reintroduce the landmark to Detroit. The Poster Vault Room stands out as one of the most immersive, showcasing over a century of graphic design—from vintage train posters and postcards to 90s rave flyers and neon signage. As Senior Art Director, I led the challenge of sourcing, restoring, and arranging hundreds of pieces into a cohesive, floor-to-ceiling layout. It was a massive visual puzzle that required balancing historical storytelling with a refined aesthetic, weaving together decades of Detroit’s design legacy into an experience that invites visitors to explore the many lives the station has lived.
