Black & Unlimited

By featuring these awesome changemakers, Walmart aimed to intentionally share positive depictions of Black excellence, strategically showcasing the multidimensional aspects of identity. The ultimate goal was to create a social-first, documentary-style series to honor intersectional identity and Black excellence throughout the year, not just during moments of cultural observance.

The Black & Unlimited series was fully developed by us, the social creative team at Walmart. We ensured story structure consistency across episodes, determined framing and lighting, curated interview questions, actively participated in the editorial process, and meticulously crafted every detail. Our intimate storytelling approach was brought to life with the support of our partners, HollandWest Productions, founded by talented individuals from the Black & Unlimited community.
